HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK..

yes.. as the title suggest, for the whole of last month.. till last wed, i was waiting for it. the local play production by W!ld Rice production-- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is definitely an excellent production. the backbone of snow white's storyline is still the same-- snow white ate the poison apple and died. but was revived by the prince from a far away kingdom and they lived happily ever after. BUT! if this is it, would i pay so much to watch it?! the answer is NO! But of cuz, that wasnt the case. Hossan Leong, the director, put a little twist to the story and the whole play was very entertaining, engaging, and funny. They talked a little about the singapore's government, a little about china's olympic, the Melamine milk powder scare, and so forth. But of cuz, my friends and i came to a conclusion that cuz Hossan Leong himself is a christian. therefore, during some parts of the play, the songs which they sang, including the opening theme song. if u're a believer, and u play close attention to the lyrics, u'll understand. i dunnoe wad's the title of the song thou, but i decided to give it a title- Welcome to the Kingdom. and in this case, the Kingdom refers to the Heavenly Kingdom from above. when i manage to get the soundtrack/ lyrics, i'll definitely post it up. and u'll know what i mean. :) right.. i'm one person who's not very good with words or explaining stuff.. i'll copy and paste the play's synopsis, and u go read it for urself. :)

SYNOPSIS

Once upon a time in the Eternal Kingdom, there lived a Queen who wanted everything and everyone to be perfect. So, when her subjects turn 18, they are sent for “Enhancement”— a programme to correct their flaws.The Queen holds a beauty pageant every year where she crowns herself as the winner. One day, her Magic Mirror, who cannot lie without literally cracking up, reveals to her that a new beauty has come of age—her own step-daughter Snow White. Poor Snow White is ordered to undergo a nip-tuck by the creepy Royal Surgeon. But she runs away to the Outer Limits, where she encounters junk, vermin and the rapping, breakdancing Seven Dwarfs—outcasts banished from the Kingdom for falling short of the Queen’s standards.Will Snow White escape from the Queen’s manicured clutches? updates..

right.. looking back at my last entry.. woah! it was a good one month ago.. sorry manz.. was quite busy recently.. birthday parties to attend, going out with friends, children's church's drama rehearsals, and grandma's back in hospital again.. so many things have been happening recently.. wanted to blog it down.. but there's no time and i also dunnoe where to begin with.. as usual, i guess i'll just title them and write down the details of each event..

Car rental

yee got to know a friend recently, who's dad owns a car rental company. hee.. so what happen was, since mum's birthday was just around the corner as of last, last week, my sisters and i decided to rent the car from 2 weeks ago's wed all the way to last monday. so on thursday night, we drove our mum out to chomp chomp for dinner, thereafter, drove over to my aunt's place at jalan kayu's area, one of those private housing estate so that we can visit our grandma as well. however, tt night when we were in my grandma's room, she was aldy not feeling too good. so we told my aunt and she said she'll bring her to the doc's soon. however, not long after, grandma said she's tired, and want to sleep. so we left her room and went out to the living room and sat there while chatting with our relatives. throughout the week of enjoying the luxury of having a car to drive ourselves ard, we drove to places such as east coast park, parkway parade, bukit timah, bukit panjang, sungei gedong (to pick wen yang up from his camp) and to church! hee.. at least my driving skill have improved tremendously and we could drive to places such as bukit timah and east coast without having to keep asking for directions aldy. :)

Grandma ('ma ma' in cantonese)
This happened 2 weeks ago. It was a sunday when my parents, sisters, wenyang (yee's bf) and i were on our way (i was driving on our rented car) to upper bukit timah road for dinner to celebrate mum's birthday. thou it was a belated celebration, but we wanted to do it tt sunday cuz dad's back in singapore and the whole family was able to celebrate with her. However, when we reached upper bukit timah, and were looking for parking lots, my dad's sis, aunty rachel called my san's hp and urgently asked for my dad. after my dad put down the phone, he told us tt his mum, our grandma's admitted into NUH and aunty rachel was crying and asking us to go down to NUH immediately. so i looked at my dad and asked him to drive instead. when i switched over to the front passenger seat, tears was rolling down my face. i was so afraid tt we might lose my grandma that night. and my dad.. woah! he was driving super fast.. thank god we rented car tt week. thank god we were in bukit timah area.. thank god we were still looking for parking lots.. anyway.. when we reached the hospital, almost the whole family were there.. some were crying and i thought grandma's dead.. but phew! nope.. they were still checking her and were adjusting her oxygen mask. i was fighting back my tears and walked out of the ward a few times as i didnt want my grandma to see me crying. now she's still in the high dependency ward. just went to visit her yesterday. cuz only 2 person can enter at a time, so san and i went to visit her together. we, especially me, i chatted with my grandma for about an hour. hee.. i can tell that she's a lot better aldy and she definitely enjoyed our company although maybe sometimes, i think she dun understand what was i talking about. i just rattle on and on.. well.. guess she just wants to see us and enjoyed the time we spent with her. she told us that she should be able to transfer out of the high dependency ward to a normal ward next week on. so i'm looking forward to the day she gets discharged.


Julia Gabriel's November Holiday Programme

This november's holiday prog, we went to the butterfly kingdom at sentosa for the first week of hol prog and then to the animal farm on the 2nd week of hol prog. here are some pics which i took using my hp. didnt bring a cam with me. neither did i take alot of pics. cuz i was busy chatting and interacting with the parents and my kids. hee.. here are some pics.. anyway, the farm's not very big either.. anyway.. here are the pics.. :)

O bar

yesterday night, yee and i went to O bar to celebrate Shan's 20th birthday. but before we could even enter, we had to spend a good 5-10 mins convincing the bouncers that I AM 21 YEARS OLD. know why? cuz the stupid me (AGAIN) left my wallet in my centre at Big Splash AGAIN. arghhh... the forever so forgetful me.. anyway.. in the end, yee was so smart. she told the bouncers that we're triplets and we're like, the same age and everything. Then towards the end, one of the bouncer took yee's ID and ask for my IC number. of cuz i'm able to give la. WE ARE TRIPLETS MA. i even said out the last 3 numbers of yee's and san's IC number lor. phew! luckily they made this an exception and allowed me to enter. so from this incident, i decided to put my IC and Driving license in 2 diff places. so tt i will have at least smth to proof my identity. u know how fruastrated i was? anyway.. didnt really had a lot of fun la. thou i drank alot, and almost couldnt wake up for work, but in the end, i still did go to work. hee. super tired now. shall go to sleep soon. nite. :)

A man of God

Was chatting with a friend of mine whom i've known since my sec sch days.nope. he's not from my sec sch. dun be surprised. but when i was 12, i learnt martial arts before. yea. and i knew him from there. He was a newly converted believer of christ. Though a young christian, but, from the conversations i had with him just now, i can feel his love for God, the thirst and hunger for Him. Through his testimonies, i can safely say that he's definitely on the right track and despite his recent breakup with his girlfriend, he still stood strong and not be moved by the setback. When he told me the reason why he broke up with his girlfriend, i was like, man, i salute you. The reason behind the breakup: He choose to love God more than her. His girlfriend's a christian too. but, she depending too much on him on her own growth, in terms of her spirtiual growth. And because of that, he felt that it was hindering him from growing spiritually. Therefore resulted in the breakup. However, like i said, he stood strong and believe in the Lord to heal both him and his girlfriend from the breakup. After a prayer walk that day, he was filled with the spirit and was uplifted in the spirit again. Amen!

I was really motivated and encouraged by his eagerness and fire for God. alright. Gonna go have my own personal time of worship and prayer time with the Lord now. take care and God bless to whoever's reading this. and to my friend, Sheng Qiang, jia you! :)

Sun tanning session @ Sentosa

Today was a PH.. so it was the perfect opportunity for the grp of us to spend a day tog at sentosa to tan. HOWEVER, there were like super duper MANY, i mean, MANY Blangadesh workers there too lor! anyway.. since it was a PH, so, oh well.. we kinda expected it.. when Liyi, yee, san and I reached Sentosa, there were too many pple at the queue waiting for the beach tram. So we decided to walk to the nearest Beach. we were trying very hard to look for a nice spot without any Blangadesh workers. Cuz we're wearing our Bikinis.. so we didnt want to really show it off to the B.workers. but despite our attempt, the B workers were outrageous! they were like going ard taking pics of ladies in Bikini. INCLUDING US. mind you, they were blatantly taking pics of us while we were lying down on our mats can?! my god! they tried to take a pic of a small malay boy too. he's super cute, with an afro hairstyle. but the boy didnt want. so after that, the B workers left him alone. After an hour or so, we decided to leave and go bathe so as to beat the crowd. Anyway, it was going to rain soon by the time we reached Harbour Front. So, we thank god we left earlier la. Then after that, we made our way down to AMK to get our hands and feet done. in other words, Manicure and Pedicure. All in all, our PH was quite well spent. oh yes! how can i forget? while we were tanning, i helped Liyi and san paint their nails.. hee.. enjoy the pics! :)

Geraldine's Birthday surprise and Tanning session @ Sentosa

after the GE run yesterday, we all decided to go home to rest before mtg out again at night. When we met up, Yee, San, Liyi, Ger and I went to K-ster @ Chinatown. Though they do not really have all the updated songs, but nonetheless, we all enjoyed ourselves pretty much and even gave Ger a surprise! Cuz today (27th Oct) is her birthday. So while Liyi and Yee went to buy some ice-cream (in place of a cake), san and i went to book a room @ K-ster first. It's a pity we didnt take much pics from the cam, as it ran out of batt very quickly. But we did take some from yee's smart phone. so i'm still waiting for her to upload the pics from her phone. :) So what happened was, when Liyi and san went to get the ice-cream from the staff of K-ster, Yee and i pretended to keep singing our song.. until.. "happy birthday to you...." the song appeared on the screen. haha.. at first Ger went, "eh? why u all change song?" haha.. anyway.. we're just glad that she appreciated the efforts made.. hee.. here are some pics.. :)
