right. finally. here's the last part. i'm currently in a very tired and hungry mode. have been trying to finish blogging everything before i go to bed tonight. so anyway.. we woke up at 8am (singapore time) on the last day. it was the yummilicious breakfast again! thereafter, we went to do the airsoft gun and archery before we head off to the ferry terminal and make our way back to singapore.. kk.. i'm super hungry now.. have not had dinner since i knock off just now.. so i'll just upload the pics and ya.. bye! :P

batam trip from 30th Dec 08 till 1st Jan 09 (part 5)(day 2)

my god.. this is a really long entry.. anyway.. i have got no choice but to continue.. so yup.. this entry is a whole entry of our trip out and back to Nygoya shopping mall.. this time, we set off in the afternoon after our morning breakfast and swim :) no pics taken at the pool again.. hee.. but breakfast was a fine spread! esp when there's my FAVOURITE SUNNY SIDE UP!!!! *SLURP!!!* anyway, we paid the resort S$15 bucks for the 1/2 hr taxi ride to Nygoya. when we reached, we went to play some games at the arcade and won ourselves some pencils and sweets.. hee.. and we had A&W for lunch, and had a yummylicious burger (shared among 3 of us) for snack? lol.. while we were shopping for clothes (which is not much of choice either.. cuz their fashion sense's not very *ahem* up to date either.. so ya.. anyway, we entered a small shop only to be greeted by the shop owner semi-shouting at one of their customer (a young girl all dressed up "ah-lian" type) of shop-lifting. cuz they were communicating in their own language, so i have no idea what they were talking abt at all.. but! from their body laguage, it was so obvious tt they were accusing her of shop theft. thereafter, we went to a massage palour just across the road and all of us got a full body massage for S$10 or less! but! it sure was a painful experience! super painful when i was doing the foot reflexology.. thou painful, but after the whole massage, i was feeling really relaxed and much much less tenser. thereafter, we were rushing to the supermarket again in search for alcohol. we wanted to drink a little during countdown. so there were none sold in the supermarket. so we went into one of the pubs in the mall and bought a bottle of absolute vodka shared among the 3 of us. then we had to rush back to the resort cuz if not nightfall starting soon and we try as much as possible not to travel back in the dark. anyway, we got back the same taxi driver. so after we've reached the resort, we deposited our stuff in our room and rested for awhile before heading down to the dining hall area for buffet dinner tt comes with the package we booked with the travel agency. :) it was a good dinner. great variety and nice spread. but we didnt really want to stay for their prog. so after a quick dinner, we went back to our room and again, i switched on to my MTV channel and watched MTV while yang and yee mixed the drinks. and we played UNO as well. after which, we switched to channel U and watched the countdown prog.. wanted to see TUZI perform.. but in the end, i found out from san when i came back to singapore that TUZI got taken out of that night's performance.. dunnnoe why also.. they were assigned to sing 5 songs tt night actually.. anyway.. i was amazed tt we could actually finished the whole bottle of vodka by the time the clock strikes 1.30am.. and i was quite bloated and high aldy.. but still sober la.. thou i puked a little (2nd time in my life tt i puked after drinking) but was cuz i felt really bloated.. after tt, we slept all the way till the next morning..yea.. we had countdown in the comfort of our own room.. it was quite fun too! no crowd.. and actually.. we ushered in the new yr according to singapore's timing. cuz apparently batam's timing's one hr behind singapore's timing.. so yup.. and yea.. i recalled calling nat at 1am.. and had a short chat with him.. as i was using yang's phone.. so didnt dare talk for too long.. :) anyway.. here are the pics.. :)

batam trip from 30th Dec 08 till 1st Jan 09 (part 4)

after go-kart, we were quite tired aldy.. so we decided to go back to the resort and lie by the poolside and tann and do some swimming.. no pics were taken cuz there's no one to look after our belongings.. :) thereafter, we went back to our room at abt 6pm plus and WE decided to give daddy's friends a ring to ask where can we go to for a SEAFOOD DINNER. this is the funny part. before the trip, dad gave yee 3 of his ex-colleague's numbers for us to contact with should we meet with any prob in batam (cuz they live in batam and it's the first time we're going on a so-called overseas trip without my parents and there were only yang, yee and i). so our prob now is, where to? for a seafood dinner. so yee called uncle Henry, uncle John, and uncle Iff (dunnoe how's it spelt really) amongst the 3 of them, uncle henry and uncle john's number were all incomplete of ONE number. so thank god, we still have uncle iff. yee made all the calling. i was in the bathroom bathing. so after when i came out, she told me that when she mentioned tt we were SK's (dad's name) daughters, uncle iff was so happy and glad to bring us to the seafood place to eat. apparently, he and dad were very close colleauges when they were working tog for abt 5 years? yup yup.. so uncle iff drove us to Nygoya (a small town but super far away from our resort) for our seafood dinner. it was a half-hour drive from our resort. and there in batam, roads were not flattened properly and it was a pretty bumpy ride i must say, plus! it was super dark. so he was very careful when he was driving. anyway.. while we were travelling to Nygoya, my dad called uncle iff twice! first was to ask him where is he bringing us to.. then shortly after that, called him again to ask if he was sending us there or accompanying us.. so uncle iff told him not to worry and that he's driving us there and accompany us thruout the whole time and drive us back to the resort. he'll assure dad that we're in safe hands. lol.. my yea.. dad was just worried abt us lah.. and i really appreciate it. hee.. anyway, by the time we reached nygoya, we were all starving manz.. dinner was yummlicious! we ordered 2 crabs (one black pepper and one salted egg), u*slurp* feeling hungry? cuz i am.. lol.. anyway.. and guess how much we paid for this SEAFOOD DINNER? it's only abt less than S$12 per person can?! and there were 3 of us eating it.. i want to eat seafood dinner again!!!!!!!! thereafter, we went to the supermarket down the road to get some snacks and *ahem* alcohol.. hee.. :P oh ya.. sorry arh.. backtrack a little.. while waiting for uncle iff, we went down to the bowling alley within the resort itself to play bowling. :) here are the pics.. btw.. no pics were taken during our trip out to Nygoya tt night cuz we were too hungry to remember to take the pics of the food.. hee.. *blush* :) here are the pics.. enjoy! :)

batam trip from 30th Dec 08 till 1st Jan 09 (part 3)

right.. i had to divide them into a few parts also because apparently blogger doesnt allow u to "ctrl+c" and "ctrl+v" pictures.. and whenever i upload pics, it's quite a tedious process of having to copy and paste the entry (in terms of the written words) again at the top.. guess those using blooger will know wad i mean.. or.. is it just me? kk.. nvm.. let's continue.. thereafter, we went to the reception counter to tell them that we wanna play go-kart. and so the resort provided personal transport for us and we travelled down the road to a pretty old and run down building where the go-kart place is. it is only about 3-5 mins or less drive (cant really recall thou with my goldfish size memory) (i'm depending on the pics' sequence to help me recall wad we did k? so pls do appreciate my entries abt our trip to batam. :P ) from our resort. however, after the 10-min drive ard the go-kart course, we waited for like 1/2 hour for the resort to send their pple to pick us up can?! we were at the verge of walking back ourselves aldy. anyway.. go-kart was fun! this is my first experience playing go-kart. definitely very different from driving a car. cuz the vehicle's much lower and the accelerator's on my left and brake's on my right. so i tends to forget, cuz if u drive a car, u'll know tt the brake's on the right and acclerator's on the left. ya. not confusing u rite? kk.. anyway everyone who reads my blog are drivers so ya.. anyway.. there were a few times when i was cornering, i almost felt that my vehicle was abt to tumble over.. but thank god, it didnt. phew! yea.. and it's not helping when my helmet keeps getting looser and looser and i had to occasionally use my left hand to support it as i use my right hand to drive. but when comes cornering, i HAVE to use both hands as my right hand wasnt strong enuff to do it alone. yea. so it was a pretty frightening yet exciting experience for me.. and according to yee.. i kept hogging on to the middle of the road and she could do nth at all.. as in, there's no way she can overtake me or whatsoever and i cant see her behind me as there were no mirrors and i was driving a LITTLE too slow for her.. ya.. so.. again, here are the pics which are not very clear.. but can at least see us IN the go-kart. impossible to take us while driving, so we're just posing with it after we'd finished our rounds.. :) pardon me for only taking 2 pics. cuz we just wanted to take a few pics to show u as i wasnt really in the mood to cam whore lah huh.. :P

so yea.. here's the continuation.. so sorry.. due to the lack of time yesterday, i had to break things up a little.. :) so after inspecting our room, we were feeling pretty hungry, despite the fact tt we had quite a full breakfast in the morning at harbourfront. so we decided to make our way down in search for food! as we were walking ard, we wanted to find out where's the go-kart place and the airsoft gun shooting and so forth were. so we were walking ard and thereafter, we decided to settle our lunch in the resort itself and had buffet lunch thou i didnt eat much.. it costs us abt S$12 per pax? anyway, thou the pics were quite well taken, but! my stupid canon camera.. dunnoe wad's wrong with it, it's like it was never like tt.. dunnoe since when, everytime we tried to take outdoor pics when there's so much light in the surrounding area, the pic turns out like tt.. later when i post it up, u'll understand why.. and it's canon ixus 65.. dunnoe wad's with the cam la.. anyway, here are some pics.. :)

batam trip from 30th Dec 08 till 1st Jan 09 (part 1)

ok! here are the updates as promised. earlier on last month, which is as a matter of fact, about a week ago, chui yee, wen yang and i went on a short getaway trip to batam. initially, we wanted to go with more pple.. but none of our friends can make it. so in the end, it's just us. nonetheless, we still had a lot of fun! :) we met up at buangkok station at 0700. thereafter, we took the train down to harbourfront station. we managed to collect our ferry tickets and had breakfast before boarding the ferry at 0850. it took us about an hour plus to reach our destination (cannot remember the name of the part of batam which we put up at) anyway, we thank god that thou we had to wait for the 2nd bus to arrive at the ferry terminal at batam; a shuttle service provided by the resort which we put up at, nonetheless, the journey from the ferry terminal to Harris Resort was only about 1-2 mins drive. as soon as we reached the resort, in order to beat the crowd that's streaming in slowly, we decided to join the queue as soon as we reached the resort. and by the grace of God, thou by right, we were supposed to only check in at about 1200, but, we didnt care, and continued to join in the queue. thank god that as soon as it was our turn, they already have a room available for us to check in and we even booked the return ferry tickets over the reception counter.

Thereafter, we went up to check our room. think if i'm not wrong, we booked the delux suite. hee.. yup yup.. so here goes.. these are some of the pics i took of our room. somehow, it never occur to me to take the bathroom.. but it's ok.. thou i must say that the bath room's super clean and up to standard! we dun even feel like we're in indonesia can? lol..
