Ans: Because 7 ate 9 (7,8,9)
Q: Who is shorter? A or C?
Ans: A, because A 比 C 低 (ABCD)

Funny happening in school

This incident happened about 2, 3 weeks ago. i think. what happened was, after her afternoon prayers, my school's one and only cleaner, Auntie Nisha realised that she'd misplaced her hp. So as usual, she wants to borrow my phone to call her phone to see where is it. But i was sitting on the floor with my colleague busy preparing for the week's art activity's resources. So just as i was about to tell her that my hp was not with me and it's on the table, and as i turned towards her, she placed MY phone in front of me and asked me to call. i was like.. errr.. o..k.. cant she use the school's phone huh? which was just beside her? k.. nvm. not long after, she found her phone. Then a while later, my phone rang. and guess who's the caller? u bet! Auntie Nisha. i looked at my colleague and said, "Rino, why did Nisha call me?" anyway, i answered the call. This was our conversation:

Ting: "Hello"

Nisha: "Hello, who called me?"

Ting: "Huh? Auntie Nisha, it's me"

Nisha: "Who are you?" (she sounded pretty concerned)

Ting: "Huh? me la. Chui Ting."

Nisha: " oh! Swee ching! why did you call me?"(She is one person who CANNOT for heaven's sake PRONOUNCE my name properly. Despite after a few attempts of trying to correct her.)

Ting: "Huh? i thought just now you used my phone to..." (I didnt get to finish my sentence when she cut in)

Nisha: "oh my god! oh my god! oh my god!"

Phone: .................

hahahahaha... from this, i bet you already knew what happened. Yes. she forgot she used my phone to call her phone to look for her phone. and when she realised it, she went.. "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god..." Rino and I cant help but to keep laughing and laughing and laughing... oh my god! hahahaha

recent updates...

recently, quite a lot of things have been happening.. i also dunnoe how to go abt starting it.. maybe.. i should put a title to it..

1. Martin Loo

i also dunnoe when did i start calling him by his full name (so to speak).. it just come so naturally.. haha.. anyway.. this friend of mine, and subsequently, a few others, will be flying to Aussie for further pilot training for at least 9 months? gonna miss him manz.. miss the time we (yang, yee, hwee, martin loo and i) went out for late night suppers after a few games of pool.. miss the time we went mambo night tog.. miss his car.. miss the time we drive down to yishun dam tog.. but.. come to think of it.. after viewing thru the pics which he took with his Air Force friends.. the things they do tog.. the time they spent tog.. when Martin loo was with us (yang, yee, hwee and I) it was really quite boring.. as much as i always try to suggest to go to certain places where we can drink and so forth.. there'll always be someone in the grp who doesnt want.. so end up? we'll either go for supper after playing pool or just sit at yishun dam and talk.. oh well.. i'm just glad tt this last week in singapore before flying off, his time were well spent.. all the best to u bud!

2. Claire

haha.. this week, we were celebrating Deepavali in school.. Claire told Rino and I that when she first started teaching in Playclub, it was her first time celebrating Deepavali.. so when she lit the tea light candle, she started singing a 'Happy Birthday' song to India.. oh.. my..God.. the parents were shocked! they immediately stopped her and told her tt Deepavali refers to the Festival of Light. Rino and I were laughing till our jaws drop when she told us.. my God! Thank god this happened YEARS AGO. haha.. poor Claire.. she must have felt super embarrassed and will want to dig a hole and hide in there and never come out again.. lol...

3. Kyler

Kyler is one of the kid in my playclub.. yesterday.. while the 3 teachers (Claire, Rino and I) were trying to settle down the children for Magic Box time, Kyler stood up from where she was and trying to ask me, "Chui Ting, is it painful?" i was pretty confused. so i looked at mummy (Kyler's mum) and asked her, "What's painful?" then mum pointed to her earrings.. i was like.. "orh.." so i told Kyler, despite of all the running children in front of me, "no, no.. it's not painful".. but i guess she couldnt hear or see me.. cuz just as i said it, a child came in between us and blocked her view. so finally.. when everybody had settled down, and just as claire was about to sing a song to start the segment, Kyler stood up again, from where she was, and started walking towards me and asked in a big loud voice, "So, Chui Ting, is it painful anot?" these are her exact words.. immediately.. everyone in the class burst out laughing.. i was quite embarassed thou.. but i myself was laughing too.. "no no Kyler, it's not painful at all.. you might want to try it when u're much older too ya?" haha.. that was super funny.. and mind u.. she's only 2 years old.. :)

4. Young Man

Yesterday, when i was on my way to work, i board on bus service 76 and went to the upper deck. I was sitting digonally to this young man whom i guess should be ard his mid 20s. He was crazy. i mean.. He's definitely not in a sound mind. cuz he was flipping through his photo album, and looking ard and smiling-laughing to himself and to the pple ard him. I could see the photo pretty clearly cuz i wasnt seated very far away from him, and it was in 3R size.. the big one.. when i saw the photos.. i was thinking to myself.. poor guy... smth must have happened to one of his friends or himself which resulted to his current situation. i must say. He is quite good looking. if he doesnt smile to himself, others may think that he's just any ordinary relatively good looking guy. suddenly, i felt a burden, to need to pray for the sick and the needy in Sinagpore. And for that moment, i almost cried out. really. i dunnoe why, but, i felt really sad for these people in Singapore. Despite the fact that Singapore is such, (up to date, high tech, wealthy, first-world country) i was quite shocked to find out that the number of the poor and needy in the country is quite a handful. There are alot of people out there, who very much need our care and concern, and help. Some, to the extend that they cant even have enough to go for each passing day.. and there i am.. on certain days.. kept complaining about how much i do not have enuff to buy the things i want.. i ought to feel ashamed of myself. so from today onwards, i added the poor and the needy into my list of the prayer items which i will keep in prayer everyday.

Busy busy year ahead..

First and foremost, in order to protect myself against any complaints or risk any chance of me getting sued by the parent whom i've wrote about in my previous entry titled "Parents' chat", i have decided to delete the entry before i get into any sort of trouble. Anyway.. as the title suggests, i'm gonna have a busy busy year ahead next year..

Earlier in the noon, after my weekly children's church ministry work in church, we (all the counsellors/Sunday school teachers as known to many) had our annual planning meeting. of which, one of the agenda that was brought up was about the new planning teams which we're gonna have next year. every year, we have had 3 planning teams -- to plan for the Sunday school's curriculum and there will be 2 coordinators to lead the team. It came as a pleasant surprise to see my name on the power point slides on one of the 2 planning team's list. It was highlighted in red and yea.. before i knew it, my children's pastor -- aunty susan, announced to the whole team that Kevin See and I will be the assistant coordinator for the 2 planning teams. I'm the asst coordinator of team A and Kevin's team B. i was like.. i cannot believe this. This is my 3rd year, coming 4th year, serving in the children's ministry, the thought of me becoming a leader in my church's ministry never once crossed my mind. i was really really happy and honoured. To be able to serve God, is already an honour. Now, to be able to lead a team of people together with the main team leader, i am even more honoured. praise the Lord!

And besides the "promotion", i am also part of 3 events' planning committee: Easter's Special, Retreat+ Teachers' day celebration and Children's day outing in my church's ministry. Also, i'll be anchoring a class of my own (in children's church) , partnering with James (a new and young counsellor who'll come on board next yr) and i'm gonna help mould and train him up to take his own class in the near future. after all these years, i have never once felt tired or think it as a chore to stay back after children's service in church till 5pm plus to plan for the various events or planning team. That's why people always say that if we find joy and passion when doing smth that we love, it will never be a chore.

Anyway, besides church's commitments, next march, i am gonna start my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. It'll be a part time course over a period of 18 months. So towards the end, if i score well, i'll be given the oppportunity to do the honours deg modules. and at the end of it, i will graduate with an honours deg. It's gonna be difficult i know, to study part time and work full time. But it's ok. cuz i definitely do not want to go through the 3 months probation period again after working for like coming 2 years in the company if i switch back to a part-timer during my course of studies, and then back to a full-timer after my degree course ended.

yup yup.. so that's so much about the updates that's happening in my life.

God is good, all the time! and all the time, God is good! May the Lord bless and prosper you abundantly whoever that's reading this. :)
