Great Eastern Women 10K run 26th Nov 2008

This morning, instead of the usual weekly routine, i woke up exceptionally early. At about 5.45am. Not to go church, but to meet some of my other church friends tog with my sisters at Cityhall MRT station. Took a direct bus to Cityhall MRT station. Cuz, we're gonna go for the Great Eastern Women 10K run! but! haha.. we're only involved in the 5K run category. haha.. it's the first time all of us take part in such runs. Though we didnt really train very hard for it, but afterall, it's still a very nice and memorable experience. Initially, i thought i would have walked for more than 2.5K. but i didnt! i ran 3/4 and more of the whole race. and managed to finish the 5K in 30 mins. wohoo! It was not easy. Initially, all of us stayed tog. But after a while, we couldnt keep up with each other's pace, so in the end, we ran our own race.

it wasnt easy running with so many people ard us. Charissa and i agreed that it felt as if we were on the road driving and trying to change from the right lane to the left lane as we manoeuvre around, finding space to run. I thought it was pretty fast. As in, before i knew it, the finishing line was just in front of me. So i sprint the last lap of 50m. next time round, we're gonna go for the 10K run instead.

We took a few pics before the run, and the following pics which i'm gonna upload are the ones which we took after the run and made our way to starbucks @ raffles city. :)
