recent updates...

recently, quite a lot of things have been happening.. i also dunnoe how to go abt starting it.. maybe.. i should put a title to it..

1. Martin Loo

i also dunnoe when did i start calling him by his full name (so to speak).. it just come so naturally.. haha.. anyway.. this friend of mine, and subsequently, a few others, will be flying to Aussie for further pilot training for at least 9 months? gonna miss him manz.. miss the time we (yang, yee, hwee, martin loo and i) went out for late night suppers after a few games of pool.. miss the time we went mambo night tog.. miss his car.. miss the time we drive down to yishun dam tog.. but.. come to think of it.. after viewing thru the pics which he took with his Air Force friends.. the things they do tog.. the time they spent tog.. when Martin loo was with us (yang, yee, hwee and I) it was really quite boring.. as much as i always try to suggest to go to certain places where we can drink and so forth.. there'll always be someone in the grp who doesnt want.. so end up? we'll either go for supper after playing pool or just sit at yishun dam and talk.. oh well.. i'm just glad tt this last week in singapore before flying off, his time were well spent.. all the best to u bud!

2. Claire

haha.. this week, we were celebrating Deepavali in school.. Claire told Rino and I that when she first started teaching in Playclub, it was her first time celebrating Deepavali.. so when she lit the tea light candle, she started singing a 'Happy Birthday' song to India.. oh.. my..God.. the parents were shocked! they immediately stopped her and told her tt Deepavali refers to the Festival of Light. Rino and I were laughing till our jaws drop when she told us.. my God! Thank god this happened YEARS AGO. haha.. poor Claire.. she must have felt super embarrassed and will want to dig a hole and hide in there and never come out again.. lol...

3. Kyler

Kyler is one of the kid in my playclub.. yesterday.. while the 3 teachers (Claire, Rino and I) were trying to settle down the children for Magic Box time, Kyler stood up from where she was and trying to ask me, "Chui Ting, is it painful?" i was pretty confused. so i looked at mummy (Kyler's mum) and asked her, "What's painful?" then mum pointed to her earrings.. i was like.. "orh.." so i told Kyler, despite of all the running children in front of me, "no, no.. it's not painful".. but i guess she couldnt hear or see me.. cuz just as i said it, a child came in between us and blocked her view. so finally.. when everybody had settled down, and just as claire was about to sing a song to start the segment, Kyler stood up again, from where she was, and started walking towards me and asked in a big loud voice, "So, Chui Ting, is it painful anot?" these are her exact words.. immediately.. everyone in the class burst out laughing.. i was quite embarassed thou.. but i myself was laughing too.. "no no Kyler, it's not painful at all.. you might want to try it when u're much older too ya?" haha.. that was super funny.. and mind u.. she's only 2 years old.. :)

4. Young Man

Yesterday, when i was on my way to work, i board on bus service 76 and went to the upper deck. I was sitting digonally to this young man whom i guess should be ard his mid 20s. He was crazy. i mean.. He's definitely not in a sound mind. cuz he was flipping through his photo album, and looking ard and smiling-laughing to himself and to the pple ard him. I could see the photo pretty clearly cuz i wasnt seated very far away from him, and it was in 3R size.. the big one.. when i saw the photos.. i was thinking to myself.. poor guy... smth must have happened to one of his friends or himself which resulted to his current situation. i must say. He is quite good looking. if he doesnt smile to himself, others may think that he's just any ordinary relatively good looking guy. suddenly, i felt a burden, to need to pray for the sick and the needy in Sinagpore. And for that moment, i almost cried out. really. i dunnoe why, but, i felt really sad for these people in Singapore. Despite the fact that Singapore is such, (up to date, high tech, wealthy, first-world country) i was quite shocked to find out that the number of the poor and needy in the country is quite a handful. There are alot of people out there, who very much need our care and concern, and help. Some, to the extend that they cant even have enough to go for each passing day.. and there i am.. on certain days.. kept complaining about how much i do not have enuff to buy the things i want.. i ought to feel ashamed of myself. so from today onwards, i added the poor and the needy into my list of the prayer items which i will keep in prayer everyday.
